New call for PhD in metabolomics human male fertility

We are hiring! CEU CEMBIO is searching for an enthusiastic PhD student who’s
eager to dive into the fascinating world of metabolomics and make a real impact in
understanding human male fertility.

Fertility issues in men and parallel rising rates of testicular cancer are alarming
global health concerns. However, we’re still in the dark about their causes and how
to prevent them. In this project, we will use metabolomics to explore seminal
liquid and uncover how its composition can shed light on male sub- and infertility.

At CEU CEMBIO, we’re at the forefront of groundbreaking metabolomics research,
and we’re on a mission to push the boundaries even further. Our dynamic, interna-
tional team of passionate researchers shares a common goal: solving real-world
problems using the power of metabolomics, while boasting impressive expertise in
analytical chemistry and data science.

We’re offering a fully funded four-year PhD position in Madrid as part of a «Talent
Attraction» project, in collaboration with both public and private stakeholders and
supported by the Region of Madrid, starting in fall 2023. We’re seeking someone
with an insatiable curiosity and a critical eye for research. We value independent
thinkers who take initiative and thrive as team players. A master’s degree in life
sciences (pharmacy, biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or chemistry) would be a
fantastic asset. Being fluent in English and previous experience communicating
through scientific papers and presentations will be a plus.

So, if you’re ready to delve into the mysteries of male fertility, work alongside a
brilliant team, and make a genuine difference in the world, don’t miss out on this
opportunity. Join us at CEU CEMBIO, where innovation and scientific discovery
await!
