Bio: Sandra Camuñas obtained her BSc in Pharmacy in 2018, and her MSc in Microbiology and Parasitology Research in 2020 by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She has had work experiences in Pharmaceutical Microbiology during her stays in the Institut für Pharmazeutische Mikrobiologie at Universität Bonn (Germany) and in the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología at CSIC (Spain). However, now her interests lie in the field of metabolomics and bioinformatics. Sandra is a predoctoral researcher and a PhD student at CEMBIO in the Health Science and Technology program at the University of San Pablo CEU (Madrid) under the supervision of Dra. Coral Barbas and Dra. Ana Gradillas. Her research focuses on the detailed study of oxidized lipids and their application as biomarkers in different illnesses through lipidomics analysis, being mainly performed, through liquid chromatography and ion mobility coupled to mass spectrometry.
