Bio: Ángeles López-Gonzálvez is a Chemist and currently is a Senior Lecturer and a researcher at Universidad CEU San Pablo, Madrid (Spain) since 1996. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry obtained at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) in 1995. Her main field of interest involves metabolomics analysis applied in the pharmaceutical and biochemical fields. She is equipped with hands-on experience in setting up mass spectrometry fragmentation and CE-MS workflows dedicated to metabolite annotation and identification. She main applies such approached to leishmaniosis studies to analyze the mechanism of action of drugs such as Miltefosine used in the treatment of Leishmania.
