Bio: Alma Villaseñor is a post-doctoral researcher, currently coordinating the research group on allergic inflammation through metabolomics under the supervision of Coral Barbas and Domingo Barber. Her main objective as part of the team, is to find and validate biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognostic of different degrees of respiratory and / or food allergy. She has special interest in the elucidation of molecular mechanisms in this type of pathologies. Furthermore, Alma did her PhD thesis was under the supervision of Coral Barbas in 2014. This was focused on the analytical platforms capabilities in metabolomics. Therefore, she has great experience in Liquid and Gas Chromatography, both coupled to Mass Spectrometry (LCMS, GC-MS) and Capillary Electrophoresis with ultraviolet detector, or with laser fluorescence, or coupled to MS (CE-UV, CE-LIF, CE-MS) and some experience working with 1H-NMR. She is an enthusiastic researcher very respectful of different beliefs and cultures. Within the research group, she is co-supervising 2 PhD students and undergrate students.
