Bio: María Isabel Delgado Dolset is a postdoctoral researcher at Universidad San Pablo-CEU with more than 7 years of experience in the allergy field (H-index: 5; cumulative citation index: 69, according to WoS). After completing a BSc in Biotechnology at Polytechnic University of Madrid and a MSc in Investigational Immunology at Complutense University of Madrid, she obtained a Researcher Training Grant FPI from CEU-Santander to pursue her PhD under Dr María Escribese and Dr Cristina Gomez Casado supervision at Universidad San Pablo-CEU, which she obtained in 2023 with the maximum qualification with a cum laude distinction of honor. She has published 6 original research articles, 4 of them as a first author, and 5 review articles, has been a part of national research projects (most funded by Instituto de Salud Carlos III), has participated in more than 10 international congresses, was awarded a XXVI CEU Ángel Herrera Award to the Beast Research in Experimental and Health Sciences in 2023, and has collaborated with international groups, including a 6-month international research fellowship at Dr Mohamed Shamji’s group at Imperial College London funded with a CEU-Santander travel grant. She is currently working at the Allerbiomics group, in Universidad San Pablo-CEU, focusing on a project that aims to validate a metabolomic panel of potential biomarkers (described by her group) in a cohort of around 1400 patients with respiratory, drug, and food allergies recruited by 20 hospitals from all over Spain. If validated, this panel could be of significant help in the clinical practice, supporting the stratification and identification of patients that will respond to a specific treatment.
