Bio: Mª Paz Lorenzo is a Chemist and currently is a Senior Lecturer and a researcher in Analytical Chemistry of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universidad CEU San Pablo, Madrid (Spain) since 1994. She holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry obtained at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) in 1993. Since she joined the CEMBIO her research consists primarily in a project for the determination of chiral compounds in the intestinal flora and mainly applied to diets. The analytical techniques used for the development of new methods are CE-LIF as well as HPLC-MS and GC-MS. This is a continuation of the work carried out in previous years, which as observed in the publications, some of the articles explain the development and validation of methods for the determination of chiral amino acids in biological samples (plasma, urine, hippocampus, etc...).
