Bio: Gordana Nedic Erjavec is a research associate at Rudjer Boskovic Institute (RBI), Zagreb, Croatia. She received her PhD in Biomedicine and Health at University of Osijek, Croatia, in 2013. She conducted her postdoctoral training at the Centre for metabolomics and bioanalysis (CEMBIO) under the supervision of Prof Coral Barbas, within the technology & know-how transfer project CRO_A-00033 between Croatia (RBI), Finland (Patria) and Spain (CEMBIO). During her stay at CEMBIO she was responsible for the whole metabolome analyses using LC-MS and GC-MS in patients with posttraumatic stress disorder. She was also included in the study of whole metabolome in patients with ataxia, under the supervision of Jorge Saiz. Her main scientific interests are biological psychiatry and the search for reliable biomarkers of psychiatric disorders using different methods of molecular biology, as well as newly established metabolomics platforms at RBI.
