Bio: Carolina Raíssa Costa Picossi is a pre-doctoral researcher and a doctorate candidate who has been working at the Center for Multiplatform Metabolomics Studies (CEMM) in the Institute of Chemistry from University of Sao Paulo since 2016. She obtained her MSc in Science by the University of São Paulo in 2018, under the supervision of Prof. Marina F. M. Tavares. Her Master’s thesis involved the use of capillary electrophoresis to scrutinize micellar incorporation site of terpenes. Her linkage with CEMBIO occurred in 2018, when she was selected to be part of the Airbus CLX2 offset program. At CEMBIO she has worked in the BATTLE-AMI clinical trial, under the supervision of Dr. Javier Rupérez and Dr. Coral Barbas, and collaborated in other cardiovascular diseases related projects, under the coordination of Dr. Aline Martins from University of Brasília. Her main fields of interest involve metabolite identification and biological interpretation, which is until nowadays the main bottlenecks of the metabolomics research.
